The project consists of the interior refurbishment of the Foment Ciutat Vella offices, located at Carrer Pintor Fortuny 17-19, with an intervention area of approximately 1,001 m² distributed between the ground floor and mezzanine. The intervention does not alter the structure, façades or exterior joinery, and focuses on the functional adaptation of the existing administrative spaces.
The proposal maintains the main entrance from Carrer Pintor Fortuny and reorganises circulation routes to clearly separate the flows of agora users from those of the building’s staff. On the ground floor, internal partitions are removed to create a more open and flexible space, incorporating the agora, kitchenette, bicycle and scooter storage area, and support spaces such as the first aid and lactation room.
On the mezzanine level, the work areas, reception, meeting rooms and service spaces are redistributed, freeing up the floor plan to improve natural light, ventilation and visual connections between departments. The more private elements, such as restrooms, rack room and cleaning area, are placed at the centre of the plan to structure the overall layout.
The intervention creates more flexible, open and efficient workspaces, adapted to the new needs of the administrative facility.
