The proposal for the new BSM Grues vehicle depot responds to the need to temporarily relocate the existing Sant Genís facility. For this reason, the project is defined by the operational requirements of the service, prioritising efficient circulation, safety and a clear separation between public and private areas.
The layout includes a single vehicle entrance and exit, a highly restricted citizen service area and independent routes for operational staff. Custody areas for bicycles and scooters are also provided close to the building, enclosed by a perimeter fence and divided into sectors, with electrical infrastructure planned for scooter charging.
The building is designed as a single-storey, low-maintenance facility and is organised into four main areas: citizen service, operational work, support spaces for operational work and parking for BSM vehicles. The proposal prioritises a functional, robust architecture adapted to the needs of a continuously operating municipal service.
