Manlleu's Public Library

2008

Manlleu

For the proposal for the new municipal library and archive in Manlleu, the aim was to create a space with its own identity, capable of giving character to the place where it was located. At the urban scale, the proposal sought to establish a connection between the three squares planned within the urban “Improvement Plan”, making the entrance to the future library work as a structuring axis between the different designed public spaces. This point of entry not only served as access to the library, but also opened up and relieved the resulting urban area, adding value through a higher-quality public space.
