The project consists of the renovation and expansion of the Masia de Ca n’Oriac to house an association facility for the neighborhood, and the construction of a new social services center within the farmhouse. The project site is located in the northwest of Sabadell, facing the Torrent de la Romeua Park, which acts as a green tongue that extends into the urban center and cuts through its regular fabric. The plot is the end of one of the main transverse streets that connects the neighborhood with the city’s largest roads, so it has a favorable location to guarantee its operation as an urban-scale facility. With the restoration of the farmhouse and its direct surroundings, we achieve greater contact between the city and the park, and the square that is created inside is linked to the city’s network of squares, and becomes a transition between the natural element that is the park and the urban center.
